The Future City Competition is a program designed for 6th, 7th and 8th graders to foster an interest in math, science, engineering, architecture, and construction through hands-on, real-world applications. The students create and design a city of the future by engaging in the planning, engineering design and construction process – identifying problems, brainstorming ideas, designing solutions, testing, retesting and building, and finally communicating their results. The 19th annual National Engineers Week Future City Nevada Regional Competition will take place on January 19, 2019 at the Northwest Career and Technical Academy.
We, locally, are working to have a cyber component in the coming years.
Any support from sponsoring to volunteering would be greatly appreciated.
CSAVegas Board members Chris Squatritto and Devin Keays are already volunteers for the program locally.
